Ali Philips is finishing her Masters in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University in New Brunswick and holds a Bachelors of Arts, Honours degree in Psychology and English from Queen’s University. For over a decade, Ali worked in the communications and marketing industry where she assessed and built connections between peoples’ behaviours and underlying motivations, applying these findings to consumer and corporate markets. This experience combined with a natural fascination into the inner workings and relational motivations of people drew her to counselling.
Ali takes an empathic approach to her practice. She is passionate about supporting and helping people become healthier, stronger and more empowered versions of themselves. Ali’s professional interests include depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, interrelationship issues and trauma. At B&C Health Ali is working to improve her understanding and implementation of cognitive-behavioral approaches to therapy.
