Dr. Tanaya Chatterjee, Psy. D., C.Psych.

Dr. Tanaya Chatterjee completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Memorial University in 2018. She completed the pre-doctoral psychology residency program at the Psychological Trauma Program in CAMH and the Health and Wellness Centre at U of T, St. George campus. Dr. Chatterjee has trained within a variety of settings including community clinics, hospitals, university counselling centers, and youth detention centers during her education in Canada, Trinidad, and India.

Dr. Chatterjee is also currently a psychologist in the Work Stress and Health program in CAMH. She has experience with several therapeutic interventions including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, insomnia, personality disorder, interpersonal problems, and trauma.

Dr. Chatterjee works with adults and welcomes gay, lesbian, bi, and trans clients in her practice. She is interested in working with first generation Canadian, immigrants, and individuals dealing with adjustment difficulties related to migration. Dr. Chatterjee brings to her practice multicultural experience and she provides therapy in English, Bengali, and Hindi. She believes in active collaboration with clients that are developed through trust, genuine curiosity, respect, and sensitivity.
